I’m playing at the new Play.fm lounge in Vienna tonight (there is another office in Berlin as well, where they present the ongoing Club Transmediale at which I made interviews with Filastine and Maga Bo last year). Anyways, tonight you find me at Wiesinger Strasse 6, 1010 Vienna. It’s right in the center so you just can pass by. The place is called Xpedit Basement.
And if you’re not in Vienna tune in from 23 – 24h female:pressure radio for your global fix of chiptunes, dubstep, punk, soca, cumbia and the like.

Pixelation for the Pixelnation
August 4, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Bitcrusher Records from the UK just brought out a release which is totally free for download, I guess cuz everyone is downloading anyways. For the fans among you that are all into the 8bit, chiptune and breakcore vibe, that’s just the perfect soundtrack. Furthermore, the last track is from Z-Kat who runs the label Electrostimulation together with Kanji Kinetic, great wobble dub track.

Shanshui from China
August 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Yo, we go global and Shanshui from China send me some love letters with lot’s of music inside! As Sanshui is an independent label with no borders, I got a package with lots of different music, such as the compilation “Top Bass inside Beat” (the name speaks for itself – Kid606, Mochipet, dDamage), Me:Mo – a spherical ambient electronic artist, another 8bit compilation called “Kill Club”, Liman – electro, and Sulumi, who is the founder of the party! Shanshui was founded in 2002 by Sun Dawei and “is just a simple gathering place of electronic music, without any specific context or music taste for itself. The first release “VA landscape” reached every corner of the world and was represented by the WIRE magazine. It has generated a new electronic music space in China.” It kind of reminds of Tigerbeat6, because of the bass and chiptunes, although the other releases are far from the rave scene. So, it’s a broad playground, just have a listen yourself!
Mochipet – Dancehall Murderer Mast (Top Bass inside Beat)
Random – Rymden Ar Javlight Cool (Kill Club)
Me:Mo – Fuzzy June (Acoustic View)
